Top 5 Article Paying Sites...

It’s been a personal and long awaited return to my marketing blog, whoa did I miss it.

Have been a bit overwhelmed with so many exciting ventures in the last few months that I barely had anytime for my favorite blog out of a few I author. I wanted to return with something that would be interesting for you guys out there so I figured to share a small list of top paying article websites for those that want to get paid to write.

It does not go without saying that there is an unknown number of article paying websites out on the web but it can become cumbersome to sort the “Gabbage” site from the “Nugget”sites so I wanted to make this sorting process much easier for you by sharing my top 5 article paying websites for your reading and money generating pleasures.

Choosing the right sites its about focusing on how reliable they have been with their current writers, determining the right site to sign up with means you have to ask questions, you need to educate yourself from those already involved in that niche.

If they fail to answer, the visit forums, blogs and public areas that break down how reliable these websites are, when choosing the right article paying site its important to be fair regardless of what you read and overall as mom always told you - use your better judgement.

Squidoo
So very Popular among article paying websites and continuous growth and popularity (This should be a good sign). This service grants you the ability of creating pages that are publicly known as lenses. Your Lens topic can be whatever you want it to be. - how do they pay? They pay you a portion from the adveritisng revenue generated on the articles or lenses you create.

Associated Content
I would dare say that associated content is probably not as popular as squidoo but nevertheless its very well known. This company accepts various types of content (hence the name: articles, videos, etc) that allow members to earn performance payment(aproximately $1.50 per 1000 page views). They also offer upfront payments for some unique articles, as long as they are eligible or approved by the associated content staff members:these payments can typical range from $3-10 Bucs. (As of now only American residents are eligible for the upfront payment benefit).

Knol
Another of Google’s fine additions - this service allows you to publish your writing and grants you authority to add your own “Google Adsense Script or Google Ads” that will publish your adsense account ad’s and pays you as members click on them. If you sign up to knol, it may take some time before your ad’s appear alongside your written content.

Helium
Probably the most popular paying article website within this niche - they offer various incentives or ways for their writers to make some extra “dough” or cash. The amount of money you earn is contingent upon how many ratings you have or how many stars you’ve acquired on the rating scale. Your article may be eligible for an upfront payment and may even earn 1 cent for each pageview it gets. They offer other methods of earning cash so check them out.

About.com
This is the motherload of article paying sites; and its obviously for the experienced or good writer. They offer the opportunity to present you as an expert writer on their site on any given subject - you must apply and pass through a process that will grant you the title of “About.com” guide. As an Expert Writer or About.com Guide you can earn anywhere from $600.00 a month to$2,000 a month.

Simple Guide to Marketing your Blog to S...

It’s evident that most bloggers aspire to have “A” list blogs like Jeremy Schoemaker’s Shoemoney.com, John Chow’s JohnChow.com and Darren Rowse’s Problogger.net.

These blogs produce in the range of six figures every year and exponentially continue to grow. If you are on the same page as I  this is also what you aspire to become and you must understand that in order to achieve this you need to perform an array of marketing activities from within and outside of your blog environment.

After browsing through the warrior forum this morning I was inspired to write a simple guideline to blog marketing which includes a few steps you need to perform in order to market your blog to success.

I’ll be clear and straight up with you to make sure you do not misunderstand the message - this wont happen overnight but as you continue to market your blog via different avenues you will see a definite improvement in traffic and ranking.

Blog Success via Keyword Research and Implementation

It’s important that you do but most folks don’t understand the full concept behind “key-words”.  If you want success then this is one of those lessons you want to write down and keep nearby for future reference.  When you think of keywords think of them as condiments to your favorite dish - and as you may already know your blog dish consist of different condiments (keywords) to give it that special flavor that you enjoy so much but for this dish we will be focusing on only one of those special flavor condiments known as “Long Tail Keyword” sauce.

This article will walk you through the recipe for “Blog Success” and for this example we will be focusing on one of the most competitive markets out there; The Dating Niche. I chose this market because of it’s competitive nature and it goes hand in hand with the focus of this blog marketing guide.

This guide requires that you have your own keyword research tool software  (I personally use and strongly recommend “SEO ELITE” )

Start your keyword research software and search for keywords that relate to the dating niche - once you get the results make sure to focus on the Long Tail Keywords ( Keywords that contain three or more words)  that have a least 10 search queries a day but not more than 5,000.

Use the search term “Pick Up” in the keyword research tool search box to display all other keywords that may relate to that particular term within the dating niche context.  One of the long tail keywords you will find is “Sweet Talk Pick Up Lines” and according to the current output records this particular keyword has over 650 daily search results and roughly 131 websites competing for that traffic.

If you want to find out how many sites are in competition for a specific keyword then go to “Google.com” and type your keyword within quotes and it will narrow down the results to show only the websites that are competing for that particular keyword - if you want to narrow it down even further then I would recommend the following search command in the google search box  - allintitle:”your keyword”. This search command will narrow down the results to show only the sites that have the keyword as the title on their pages.

This is important because the results you find will determine if you benefit from using this particular keyword to drive traffic to your blog.

Simple Research for your next Blog Post

Now that you found a great traffic generating keyword with low competition It’s evident that you need to write an article around this term -I would recommend that you do a bit of research on pick up lines so that your article makes sense to the readers.

The easiest way to do this is to go to your favorite search engine and  type “Sweet Pick up Lines” in the search box - from the results find a few sources that are in line with your soon to be published article title, read about the pick up lines and begin making notes based on the results of your research.

Writing & Publishing your next article

When writing your next article, do not be intimidated by the idea that you are not a professional writer - speak out loud and express yourself in writing as you are speaking.  The general recommendation is to keep your article post short (around 350 - 500 words) and concise in an effort to keep the attention of your audience.

The next thing to consider is Article Structure which will be covered in another post.

Article Marketing Benefits...

I really want success for you and I don’t care how you define it or what it is you’re trying to accomplish but If what your trying to do requires getting the attention of people on the web then I want to be a part of that success. I want to share with you what I know has worked for me. I don’t have time to sell you stories about theories and concepts that worked for the biggest marketers on the web; I’m going to tell you my story and hopefully you listen carefully so that you apply these methods to your own business model.

For those of you that have been following my writing then its very likely that you already have an understanding of the concept behind Article Marketing along with all of its benefits. As some of you may already know these benefits are hard earned because of the time spent on submitting articles manually but if you want to cut back on the time your spending on this I’ll suggest an Article Submitter software like the one I’ve used “Find it Here“. There are two ways to accomplish the task: the hard way (Manual Submission) , and the easy way (Automatic Submission), I’ll let you decide which path you want to take.

As web publishers we write articles on the web for various reasons. Maybe we are trying to improve our search engine ranking or perhaps we’re looking to increase direct traffic. The goal remains the same; Its all about exposure. The more articles you submit the more back links and traffic you can expect to have and by the nature of these back links your ranking will automatically improve in the search engines. You dont need any special emphasis on the actual “SERP” ranking but as your rank improves so will your organic traffic.

Another great reason to submit articles, more so if you’re building a list, is that subscribers who visit your page after reading one of your articles on a particular directory tends to purchase more than subscribers who follow you from any other traffic sources. Normally, when a reader subscribes to your mailing list after reading one of your articles, they have already begun to trust you and in return may buy from you sooner than the reader that needs to get a feel for who you are and what you are providing.

Article writing provides a unique opportunity to attract readers that will become subscribers because they have a pre-qualified interest in what you are talking about and as they follow your writing they will establish trust in you. Writing articles can get you all of the above but it requires patience from your part because when you first get started you will notice that things will move rather slowly for you but if your consistent it will without a doubt pick up.

One of the things that occurs with Article Marketing is the exponential effect - when you only have 2 or 3 articles out there its quite evident that you are not going to have a flood of readers or buyers coming to your site. If this is what you want you will need to submit a few articles a day for several weeks and perhaps months until you begin to feel the powerful and amazing effects. [Trust me it will be worth while].

Lastly, its important that you remember that you will continue to feel the effects of those articles you submitted for as long as they are published on the web - Its basic math, when you have 10 articles out there you will have ten times the visitors, if you have 50 articles out there you will have 50 times the amount of visitors; I’ll let you do the math.

I’ll give you this solid piece of advice: Getting discouraged and quitting is very easy to do when you have submitted just a few articles out there and you notice that the revenue is not very consisten but with hard work, dedication and consistent submissions you will reap the benefits. ($$$Ching Ching!$$$)

The Best Article Directories...

If you’ve been browsing the marketing forums and learning about online marketing its probably clear by now that Article Marketing is one of the most effective ways to market and promote your business, product or service  online for free; because of this I wanted to give you a list of the most popular article directories used by the biggest and most successful internet marketers.

In case you didn’t and just so you know article marketing is great but it can be extremely time consuming if you plan to submit articles one by one and not use an automatic article submitter that submits articles up to 374 article directories online.

There are some directories that are just starting out so you wont benefit 100% from submitting to other article directories available but with an automatic submission you will be sure to index your article in the databases of the most popular article directories on the net, the most popular are the most frequently seen by the search engine bots.

  1. EzineArticles.com
  2. ArticlesBase.com
  3. ArticleCity.com
  4. Isnare.com

These are just four of the most popular article directories online, only 4 of the 374 that an automatic article submitter can submit for you.

Bum Marketing Tips...

Bum Marketing is the way to go for folks with low or non existing advertising budgets.
Folks, If you haven’t already noticed I enjoy talking about free methods of driving traffic.

I come from a Hispanic background in a city surrounded by thousands of brick buildings and as I sit on my white colored desk on a Monday morning contemplating on what my next blog post will be I hear the sounds of cars honking their horns, children are laughing & mothers are walking their kids to school. As I take a deep breath I smell the aroma of that “Cafe Bustelo” my mom is brewing in the kitchen and I take moment to think to myself this is “The life”; I am debt free, my finances are in order, and I couldn’t even think about stressful thoughts.

That’s the dream right? yes of course of it is, most of what I said above is true except the part about being debt free and having all finances in order. I am still working on getting those task accomplished and I am 100% confident that I will by using the Internet Marketing Industry.

I took a moment to do some research for you all on the bum marketing and I wanted to share the below, the tips are great but you need to use them effectively if you hope that they help you achieve your goal.

1. Write many articles and submit them to the Article Directories and your Blogs.

I would suggest that you take some time to either purchase some Private Label rights articles that you can reword and submit to your blogs and article directories. These PLR articles are really not very expensive, however, there is a possibility that your budget is zero dollars and in the event this is your case then you need to take some time to write as many articles as possible and this goes without saying but I will say it anyway, the articles obviously have to relate to the niche that you are in….keep in mind that some folks will tell you that bum marketing is about quantity and not quality but I kinda disagree - its best to do it right the first time and the second time than have something not worth reading out there - because this actually may hurt you in the end so ensure that your articles are worth reading at the very least.

2. Use Keywords in your Titles.

Think about all of the times you’ve used the search engines, what do you look for in the result pages?
You look for the article that stands out and this article will typically have the exact title that relates to the keyword that you just queried. Internet users have a very short attention span and they are typically looking for the first thing that relates to their search so make sure to include the main keywords related to your niche on the tile of your article and on the first line of the first paragraph - this will also help the search engine robots to index you accordingly based on the title of your article and keywords within.

3. Write “How to” articles

The last tip on this article is a very effective one, you need to create “How to” articles that provide information to the reader in order to help them solve a problem or to teach them something new. You can use these articles to promote a product that relates to the problem or topic at hand.

Some Online Marketing Terms...

What is Internet Marketing? I always like to start my articles up this way because its important that we remember the definition of this term, If you are here because you are an online marketer trying to build an online business then its crucial that you always remember what the term means and why you are pursuing this industry - its about profit, and monetizing everything that you do online, in an ethical way of course.

There are Thousands of terms to remember in this industry and below we will learn about two or three of them, but I am going to give you some pretty solid advice that I hope you take to heart - don’t overwhelm yourself with trying to learn everything right away - you are about to learn about one way of monetizing and building one leg of your Internet Marketing business so once you have mastered the below you can go ahead and learn about the rest but before I go on explaining what CPA is and how you can make money using this method, its important that you remember three main factors that will carry you throughout this online marketing journey -  Plan, Focus, Determination, Perserverance, and Passion without these traits you will fail at achieving the ultimate goal.

Remember that its important that you try not to skim through this article as it is crucial that each of you understand the bullet points below if you wish to learn about this method of monetizing your online business.

Defining the term CPA in Online Marketing
(In case you were wondering No it doesn’t stand for certified public accountant)

The term CPA (”Cost per Action” or “Cost per Acquisition”) in Internet Marketing is an acronym used to define an online marketing payment model which requires that a user performs an actual action such as a registration or sale before you as an online marketer can be eligible for earnings.

Defining the Term PPC and CPC in Online Marketing

The Term PPC (Pay per Click) in the Online Marketing industry is another acronym that is commonly used, Marketingterms.com refers to PPC as an “Online advertising payment model in which payment is based solely on qualifying click-throughs”. What does this actually mean?

It depends which side of the bar you’re standing on. If you are an advertiser this means that you would use CPC “Cost Per Click” and you would use a program like Google Adwords to create an advertiser campaign where you would set your cost per click - meaning that you will set how much you will pay the webmasters using Google Adsense in your particular niche or market for one click of keywords related to your product.

If you are using PPC It means that if you as an Online Marketer are running a program like Chitika, Adsense, Kontera or any similar program you will be paid for the actual “clicks” that the users execute, for instance, if a click is worth $10.00 and you have a web page up on a particular topic, and while one of your guest are browsing your sites they happen to click on an AD related to the topic of your web page, and this the AD program is paying $10.00 per click then you just earned $10.00 just for peaking that persons interest in that particular AD.

These are just basic definitions written especially for those new Online Marketers that are still trying to figure out what the terms above stand for. I hope you learned something today, and keep those terms in mind because its only a matter of time before you run into them again.
