A couple of months ago I featured a concept on this blog where I offered Free New York City advertising to anyone interested in showing off their websites to the people of New York City. It was fun and it’s time to do it again - except this time not only will your sites be exposed to the folks in the NYC but also to the 2009 Vegas Blog World Expo Audience.

One of my favorite bloggers out there is Jeremy of Shoemoney.com - I seriously admire and look up to the guy. He has built what so many of us are working towards and his ideas are both unique and creative - One of my favorite aspects of his blog is T-shirt Friday - I always visit and check out which company is being featured.

There is an interesting discussion out there about how positive thinking allows you to succeed; and the truth is that if you know the name Tony Robbins then obviously there has to be some truth to that statement. Many of us develop alot of negative thought patterns that set us back from moving forward in business and I want to share some tips that I have learned along the way that will hopefully have the same effect on you.
Positive thinking helps you to focus on your strenghts and because of this will allow you to accomplish your goals. When you begin accomplishing your goals you will spend less time in the slump or hole that doesnt let us move forward. If I were you I would get a pen and paper ready and start writing these down.
1. Taking Care of yourself.
Its important that you are healthy, and getting enough rest; If you are tired and sick then you cant focus on your business.
2.What are you grateful for?
Stop for one moment and start thinking about all of the positive things in your life; what are you grateful for? Stress and challenges are not as bad when you frequently think about the things that are actually working out okay in your life; even if you stop for one minute to think of these things - just do it.
3.Focus on the Proof and do not assume things
When we fear rejection, we assume that we know what others are thinking of us but most of the times these fears are not real. Don’t waste your time thinking about the assumptions your making; either ask the person directly or move on and forget about it.
4.Stop using absolutes.
Have you ever told someone “you are always behind schedule!!” or complained to someone you know about the fact they never call you. When you think and speak in “Absolutes” you make the situation appear to be worse than it is and it programs your mind to believe that folks around you or those you used absolutes with are not capable of delivering what you expect.
5.Stop thinking Negatively
The mind is extremely powerful; If you notice that you’rehaving negative thoughts than detach yourself from those thoughts and dont follow them. Negativity is one of the main reasons why most folks dont succeed in the internet marketing business.
6. Get rid of the “ANTs”
In his book (”Change your Brain, Change your Life”) Dr. Daniel Amen speaks about the “Ant’s” and he defines them as Automatic Negative Thoughts. These thoughts are bad thoughts that are normally reaction type thoughts, for instance if you see a group of people laughing at you, you may automatically assume that they must be talking about you. If your boss calls you into the office you automatically assume that you did something wrong - when you notice that you think this way, its time to get rid of those thoughts right away!
7. Love your Friends & Family
You dont need to be a pro psychologist to know that giving your friend a good hug is a positive thing. Positive physical contact with friends or loved ones is an instant “pick me upper”. A study determined the following; One waitress touches her customers on the arms as she hands them the bill and normally because of the personal contact with the customer she receives a higher tip. (PERSONAL TOUCH IS VERY IMPORTANT IN BUSINESS).
8. Up your Social Activity
If you increase social activity, you will fidn yourself feelign less lonely - surround yourself with healthy and happy people, people with a positive attitude that will have a positive impact on you and your mind.
9. Offer your time, volunteer.
Dont you feel great after you’ve done a selfless deed? Everyone feels great after volunteering - when you volunteer your time, money or resources you will find that the positive energy you put out will come back in return.
10. Stop negative patterns.
If you are focusing on something negative, and you are hyper-focusing on the matter, tis time to get your brain away from that. Its never productive nor rational. Its just excessive negative energy making you worry for no reason. Try changing your enviroment to see if you notice a difference.
When we speak of business, protocol is extremely vital. The list above are teh basics of productivity but when you clear your mind and become a positive person, the reast will fall into play.

If you are new to the Internet Marketing industry I will tell you right now that it is totally fine to be frustrated because this emotion will eventually evolve into passion and enthusiasm to figure things out. If you are able to maintain that fire within and you continue to add wood to that fire or in other words knowledge to your noggin and you apply that knowledge you will certainly become successful.
One of the first things you need to learn is that Passion drives it all, if you are not passionate or are willing to become passionate about this industry then I will bluntly tell you right now that you are out of your mind and that you should move on because this is not for you. Internet Marketing is not about the Getting Rich Quick mentality, everything will take time in this industry from your first five cents to your first 100 dollars in profit.
If you are clueless about what to write about I promise you that we have all been there at one point or another. If you want to write about something I encourage you to continue to write about something you are passionate about because you will always have words for this. If you want to make things easy for you just make an outline of things you like and everyday look at the outline and write about that particular topic. This way you will always be prepared before you turn on your computer.
The other technique that I personally use when it comes to writing is listening – listen to your neighbors talk, listen to what your co workers are saying and begin thinking. There are many people who say that overanalyzing is bad but I feel that it has helped me tremendously when it comes to writing. I sit down at work and I have random conversations. If the topic is interesting I google it and I see if there are sites out about that topic. Once I have Googled I use a tool like “Underground Keywords” to determine how many times that word is Googled and if there is a demand for that particular topic and not enough content I learn a bit about it by reading a few pages and add my own twist to it.
You can write a review on the topic, express your opinion, and explain the conversation you had or even ask questions to the readers. The key is that the content will be new, the search engines will pick up the keywords in your article and before you know it you will have 100’s of post on your blogs and continued updates to your NICHE websites.
